Esther Godoy is an Australian-born, Los Angeles-based photographer, artist, and creative.

She is interested in how people negotiate authenticity, belonging, and identity when inherited expectations and lived values diverge, using microcultures within broader subcultures as a way of examining these tensions. Her current practice primarily explores gender non-conformity through a sapphic lens.

Esther is currently exhibiting and touring her legacy project, Butch Is Not A Dirty Word, whilst new work is currently in development.
